Cierra Munroe

Cierra (White) Munroe joined the Saint Leo cross country and track programs prior to the Fall of 2018 as an assistant coach. White, a former NCAA Division I sprinter, was an eight-time NCAA All-American and holds several Texas Tech track records from her four years with the Red Raiders.
 
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., White graduated from Texas Tech in 2015 while holding six program records on the track. She still holds the Texas Tech facility record in the 100m with a blazing 11.09.
 
White is a three-time Big 12 Champion claiming the 2013 100m outdoor title, the 2015 200m indoor crown and the 2015 4x400m relay title. She is a four-time First Team All-American, four-time Second Team All-American and a three-time Honorable Mention All-American.
 
Throughout her career she was named the USA Track & Field Athlete of the Week and Big 12 Athlete of the Week.
 
Was a three-time gold medalist at the 2014 U-23 NACAC Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia. She won both the 100m and 200m titles while also being a member of the winning 4x100m relay. The achievement earned her a spot in Sports Illustrated’s "Faces In the Crowd" segment and also earned her the USATF Athlete of the Week award.
 
Following her career at TTU, White ran professionally and served as a volunteer coach for the women’s sprints from 2015-18.
 
Munroe earned her bachelor’s in human development and family studies from Texas Tech and a master's in criminal justice from Saint Leo. 

She married Julian Munroe in the summer of 2020 and currently resides in Dade City, Florida.
