AS A JUNIOR (2019)
U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South Region honoree ... Second Team All-SSC ... competed in all seven races ... placed in the top-25 at four of the seven races with a best finish of third at the Florida Tech Invitational on Sept. 7 ... turned in his collegiate best time on the 8K course at the Royals XC Challenge in 25:29.5 ... ran his collegiate best 10K time at the NCAA South Regional of 32:48.9 where he finished in 14th ... helped lead the team to a Sunshine State Conference Championship, third place at the NCAA South Regional and placed 30th at the 2019 NCAA DII XC National Championship in Sacramento, Calif. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018)
Competed in seven events for the Lions ... ran a season best 8K time of 26:12.4 at the SSC Championships where he took 10th to lead the Green and Gold ... he ran a personal-best time of 34:20.8 on the 10K course at the NCAA South Region Championships for 72nd place ... best finish of the year was 10th place at both the Holloway Park Preseason Festival and the SSC Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017)
Competed in five events for the Lions including all three postseason races… made debut at the UF Mountain Dew Invitational (9/23) and finished 77th overall in 27:49.2... posted top 8K time of the season at the Royals XC Challenge (9/29) while finishing 39^th at 26.00.0… took 16^th at the Sunshine State Conference Championships (10/21) in just his second collegiate race while crossing the line in 26:58.1… finished inside the top-50 at the NCAA South Region Championships at 49^th while completing the 10K distance in 34:59.6.

CAREER
Irish schools national steeplechase champion… finished ninth at Irish schools cross country championships.

PERSONAL
Career goals are to one day represent Ireland in the Olympics… believes his greatest asset to the team is his strength… favorite team in Manchester United… favorite food is spaghetti bolognaise… son of Ben McGinty and Donna Lane… has three sisters, Shannon, Sinead, and Leonna; and one brother, Daniel.
