Biography

AS A SENIOR (2015)
Concluded her senior season with a 12-4 record in singles play while posting a 5-1 tally in SSC matches… Broke the Saint Leo singles wins record, setting the new mark at 70-12… Carried a 1-1 tally against nationally ranked foes and was used primarily as the Lions’ No. 2 athlete, where she held an 8-2 record… Ended the year with a 13-8 record in doubles action, posting her best tandem effort with Isabella Robbiani (8-3)… Named to the All-SSC Second Team for singles and All-SSC Second Team for doubles in tandem with Robbiani...member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2014 and Spring 2015.

AS A JUNIOR (2014)
Posted an impressive record of 18-4 record in singles and a 7-3 mark in SSC play... At No.4 singles Benkirane had a record of 8-1 at No. 3 singles she posted a record of 8-2, at No. 2 play her record was 1-1 and at No. 1 position a record of 1-0... Benkirane recorded an amazing 17 straight wins in singles play... In doubles play her overall record was just as impressive standing at 19-5... At No.2 position in doubles Bekirane posted a record of 9-2 with 3 different partners... At No.3 in doubles she posted a reocrd of 10-3 with Adrianna Daszkiewicz... With such dominant records in both singles and doubles, Benkirane helped lead the Lions to their best year in program history reaching the Final Four of the NCAA DII Women's Championship Tournament...member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team Singles…Posted an impressive 18-3 record in singles and a 7-1 mark in SSC play…Was 9-2 on the year at No. 4 singles, 8-1 at No. 3 and 1-0 at No. 2 singles…Won three straight matches to end the season…Her marquee win as a sophomore came against Florida Southern’s Joalis Dominguez, ranked No. 20 in the south region at the time, in a 6-7 (2-6), 6-1, 7-5 triumph on 03/06/13…Was a member of the doubles team (Pauline Helgesson) that finished the year No. 17 nationally and No. 5 in the south region according to the ITA…Recorded a 17-7 record in doubles and a 5-2 record in SSC doubles competition…Played 15 matches at No. 1 doubles turning in a 10-5 record…Was also 7-2 in No. 2 doubles matches...member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.

Won program-record 22 regular season singles matches (22-1)…Posted team-best 7-1 SSC record…Competed out of four (7-0) and five singles (15-1)…Closed season on program-record 20-match winning streak…Compiled a 15-12 record at doubles…Registered 10 doubles wins at three-flight...member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.

CAREER
Attended George Washington Academy in Casablanca…While at the academy, the multi-sport star a team captain and MVP of both her volleyball and soccer squads…On the tennis side, she competed for the RUC club team under the tutelage of Rachid Lamina…Finished third in the group’s top division.

Born August 27 in Casablanca, Morocco…Undecided major...Hobbies include playing volleyball and soccer…Her career goal is to become a lawyer…Names Lindsay Davenport as her favorite athlete…She chose Saint Leo because of her connection to the campus…Daughter of Rachid and Ihsane Bennkirane…Has one brother, Saad, and one sister, Lina…Sister, Lina, played for the women’s tennis team at Saint Leo University from 2006-08.
