SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's golf team will begin the 2026-27 season ranked No. 11 nationally in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced Friday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

The Lions earned 193 points in the preseason voting to secure the No. 11 position and enter the upcoming campaign among the nation's top Division II programs. Saint Leo is one of just four Sunshine State Conference (SSC) teams represented in the preseason top 25.

Florida Southern, the defending NCAA Division II National Champion, claimed the No. 1 spot with 13 first-place votes and 430 points. Lee, Georgia Southwestern, Grand Valley State, and Columbus State rounded out the top five, while Wingate, Nova Southeastern, Lincoln Memorial, Catawba, and Central Oklahoma completed the top 10.

Alongside Saint Leo, SSC rivals Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern and Barry were all selected among the nation's top 25. Florida Southern leads the SSC at No. 1, while Nova Southeastern checks in at No. 7 and Barry sits at No. 12.

Saint Leo's No. 11 ranking sets the stage for another highly competitive season for the Lions, who will look to build on their tradition of success against one of the strongest fields in NCAA Division II men's golf.

The 2026-27 season officially gets underway for Saint Leo on September 14 at the Griffin Invitational, hosted at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
