GULFPORT, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's golf team currently stands in seventh-place following the first day of the Eckerd Invitational, hosted by Eckerd at the Pasadena Yacht Club in Gulfport, Fla.

Leading the Lions lineup is sophomore Maria Jaime as she is in a share of 24th with an overall score of +10. She posted a 75 (+3) in the opening round before carding a 79 (+7) to close out Monday. Her day was highlighted by a pair of birdies on the back-nine of the first round.

Freshman Claire Reynolds is tied for 27th with a +11. After scoring a +9 in the first round on Monday, she answered with a solid 74 (+2) in the second that featured a total of three birdies. Juniors Iza Ståhlevi and Sophia Raab are tied for 30th with each carding a (+12) in the rounds on Monday.

Rounding out the Saint Leo lineup is junior Julia Kret, who is in a share of 45th with a +14.

The Green & Gold had a pair of golfers compete as individuals with freshmen Grace Outhavong and Luce Ravizza. Outhavong is tied for 10th as she is sitting just six-over while Ravizza is in a share of 40th and heads into the final day at 13-over.

The Lions will conclude the Eckerd Invitational tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22 as they compete in the final round.
