Women's Soccer Drops Conference Play Opener At Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. — Saint Leo women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Tampa on Wednesday at Pepin Stadium.

Tampa took a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute before adding an insurance goal in the 60th minute. Saint Leo managed two shots, including one on goal from Nola Johnson, while Addison Pitts made four saves in goal. The Lions also held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.

The women's soccer team is back at home this Saturday where they play the number 1 ranked and reigning DII National champions in the Florida Tech Panthers.
