NORMAN, Okla. – The Saint Leo University men's golf team continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. In addition, four Lions were recognized as 2025-26 Cobalt Golf NCAA Division II All-America Scholars.

Representing Saint Leo on the prestigious All-America Scholar list were Enzo Barbaglia, Nicklas Illi, Micke Laurelli, and Maximilian Morgenstern.

To be eligible for GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors academically and athletically, participate in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 78.0 in NCAA Division II competition, and hold a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. Recipients must also demonstrate high moral character and remain in good standing at their institution.

Saint Leo's recognition as a GCAA Team Academic Award recipient places the Lions among a record-setting 331 schools across six collegiate divisions honored for outstanding academic achievement during the 2025-26 academic year. The GCAA also recognized 155 programs with Presidents Special Recognition for achieving an average team GPA of 3.5 or higher.
