VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 14th-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team wrapped up its 2025-26 season following the final day of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, hosted by Valdosta State, at the Valdosta Country Club on Saturday afternoon. The Lions placed 10th with an overall score of 870 (+6).
Junior
Maximilian Morgenstern led the Saint Leo lineup as he tied for 27th with a 217 (+1). His tournament was highlighted by a 68 (-4) in round two before capping off the three-day event with a 73. Freshman
Benjamin Morland finished in a share of 34th with a 218 (+2). Morland finished strong with a 70 (-2) in the final round. Junior
Nicklas Illi also placed tied for 34th as he registered scores of 72, 73, and 73.
Rounding out the Grenn & Gold lineup was sophomore
Micke Laurelli and senior
Enzo Barbaglia. Laurelli tied for 51st while Barbaglia finished for a share of 69th. Laurelli recorded scores of 73, 77, and 70 while Barbaglia posted a 77, 74, and 73.
The teams advancing to nationals are Nova Southeastern, who won the tournament, West Florida, Lee, Georgia Southwestern, Florida Southern, Columbus State, and Wingate. West Florida boasted the individual crown winner in Cooper Tendick as he shot a staggering 201 (-15).
