VALDOSTA, Ga. – Following the second day of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, hosted by Valdosta State at the Valdosta Country Club, the 14th-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team moved up to 12th-place. The Lions enter the final day with an overall score of 584 (+8).
Junior Maximilan Morgenstern fired a staggering 68 (-4) during the second round. His second round scorecard featured a total of eight birdies, five of which were on the back-nine. Additionally, Morgenstern's 68 was only one stroke away from tying the course's all-time low score. He currently is tied for 26th.

Nicklas Illi posted a 73 (+1) in round two. On the back-nine, he registered five birdies with four in a row from holes 14-17. Illi sits in a share of 32nd. Freshman
Benjamin Morland is tied for 56th as he also posted a 73 today after carding a 75 in the first round. Sophomore
Micke Laurelli is in a share of 72nd while senior
Enzo Barbaglia enters the final day tied for 74th.
The Lions will conclude the regional tomorrow, Saturday, May 9 with the final round starting at 9 a.m. (shotgun start).
