#21 Women’s Golf Finishes 2025-26 Campaign in 13th at NCAA South Regionals

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The 21st-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team wrapped up its 2025-26 campaign on Tuesday in the final day of the NCAA Division II South Regional as it placed 13th with a final score of 939 (+75). The Lions competed in both rounds to finish the 18-team tournament at the Cleveland Country Club.

The Green & Gold were led by redshirt senior Maya Cote, who placed tied for 21st with a 228 (+12). The Canada native fired a 76 in all three rounds and notched five total birdies in her final two rounds.

Freshman McKenzee Sullivan finished in a share of 42nd with a 233 (+17). On Tuesday, Sullivan recorded a 78 followed by a 77. Her day was highlighted by an eagle during round two on a 456-yard par-five. Freshman Maria Jaime tied for 59th with a 237 (+21). Jaime completed the tournament with a 78 before carding an 83 that featured a pair of birdies in the final round.

Rounding out the Lions lineup was sophomore Iza Stahlevi and senior Ana Valentina-Guarderas. Stahlevi posted a 247 (+31) for 84th while Valentina-Guarderas notched a 249 (+33).

No. 1 Wingate claimed the team trophy, while Lander boasted the individual crown winner in Kajsa Lindqvist, who fired a 217 (+1).

The four teams that advance are Wingate, 11th-ranked Tampa, third-ranked Anderson, and 10th-ranked Barry.
