CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Following the first round of the NCAA Division II South Regional, the 21st-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team sits tied for ninth with an overall score of 310 (+22) at the Cleveland Country Club.
Leading the Lions lineup is freshman
Maria Jaime and redshirt senior
Maya Cote, who are both in a share for 23rd. Cote and Jaime each carded a 76 (+4) on the opening day. Jaime posted back-to-back birdies on holes nine and 10 while Cote fired a birdie on the first and 10th holes.
Freshman
McKenzee Sullivan is tied for 53rd with a 78 (+6). Sullivan's front-nine featured a trio of birdies this morning. Sophomore
Iza Stahlevi is in a share of 68th with an 80 (+8) as she capped off the day with a birdie on a 345-yard par-four.
Rounding out the Saint Leo lineup is senior
Ana Valentina-Guarderas with a 87 (+15) as she is in 95th.
Saint Leo will conclude the NCAA Division II South Regionals with rounds two and three tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
