SAINT LEO, Fla. – After the opening day of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Saint Leo, at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, the 14th-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team sits in sixth-place after recording a 594 (+18) in the first two rounds on Monday.
The Lions were led by senior
Enzo Barbaglia, who is tied for ninth registered a 145 (+1) with a 73 in the first and a 72 in the second. Junior
Nicklas Illi heads into the final round in a share of 13th with a 146 (+2) after carding a pair of 73s on Monday.
Junior
Maximilian Morgenstern is tied for 22nd with a 149 (+5). During the first round, he posted a 74 followed by a 75 in the second. Rounding out the Lions lineup is freshman Ben Morland, who fired a 156 (+12) with a pair of 78s.
Heading into the final round on Tuesday, third-ranked Florida Southern leads the 10-team field with a 572 (-4) while the Mocs are boasting the player leader in Colton Swarts with a 139 (-5).
The Green & Gold will compete in the final round of the SSC Championship tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21 with tee times starting at 9:20 a.m.
