BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team finished in fifth place following the final round of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Championship Tournament, hosted by Eckerd at Cabot Citrus Farms, on Tuesday afternoon.
In the final round, the Lions carded a score of 300 (+12), marking the team's best score of the 10-team tournament. The Green & Gold were led by freshman
McKenzee Sullivan, who collected a seventh-place finish with an overall score of 224 (+8). Sullivan posted her best score of the tournament in the final round with a 72 (even), that was highlighted by an eagle on a 248-yard par-four on hole six. Sullivan recorded her third top-10 finish of the year.
Sophomore
Iza Stahlevi posted a ninth-place finish with a score of 226 (+10). She moved up three spots during the final day with a 73 (+1) in Tuesday's round. Redshirt senior
Maya Cote tied for 33rd after recording a 79 (+7) on Tuesday. Her final round featured an eagle on a 345-yard par-four on hole five.
Freshman
Maria Jaime finished in a share of 41st after registering an 83 (+11) on the final day that brought her total to 239.
Senior
Ana Valentina-Guarderas, who was the substitute for the Lions and entered competition yesterday for round two, tallied a 76 (+4) today. She carded a pair of birdies on the back-nine.
6th-ranked Nova Southeastern claimed the team title with an 892 (+28) while the Sharks also boasted the individual title winner, Alexandra Remaklus, with a 216 (even).
