BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Following the opening round of the Sunshine State Conference Women's Golf Championship, 20th-ranked Saint Leo women's golf sits in a share of sixth-place after carding a 315 (+27) in Sunday's round.

Leading the Lions lineup is Freshman McKenzee Sullivan, who is currently tied for sixth after the first day with a 76 (+4). Her day was highlighted by back-to-back birdies to start the back nine. 

Sophomore Iza Stahlevi is in a share for 13th with a 77 (+5) while freshman Maria Jaime is in a share of 18th with a 78 (+6). Rounding out the Green & Gold lineup is redshirt senior Maya Cote and freshman Catherine Mulvaney. Cote is in 47th with an 84 (+12) while Mulvaney is in 48th with an 85 (+13).

The Lions will continue the SSC Championship tomorrow, Monday, April 13 as they compete in the second round of the tournament.
