SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University beach volleyball team improved to 8-1 on the season with a pair of 5-0 decisions on Saturday. The Lions defeated both the Barry Buccaneers and State College of Florida Manatees at home at the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts in two sets each. While the Lions improved to 8-1, Barry falls to 2-13 and State College of Florida sits at 4-4 overall.

The Lions completed the season sweep of the Buccaneers on Saturday. Facing the Buccaneers for the third time in 2026, the Lions once again swept their way to a 5-0 victory.  Paige Reeves and Caitlyn Kemer clinched the win for Saint Leo winning 21-12 and 21-15 as the number five's pair.

In the second match of the day for the Lions, Erin Johnson and Paula Perez Rosales opened the match with 21-7 and 21-15 set wins for a 1-0 lead. The number two pair of Madison Moore and Anna Intagliata won their flight 21-9 and 21-12 to give Saint Leo a 2-0 advantage. The reigning SSC pair of the week, Emma Laade and Thalie Brossard clinched a two win day for the Lions with wins of 21-13 and 21-11.
