FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After the first day of the Shark Invitational, hosted by Nova Southeastern at the Grande Oaks Golf Course on Monday, the 19th-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team sits in sixth place after recording a 566 (-2) during the first two rounds.
The Lions were led by senior
Enzo Barbaglia, who is in a share of 20th after posting a 70 in the first and a 71 in the second round for an overall score of 141 (-1). Freshman
Benjamin Morland is tied for 32nd with a 143 (+1) with scores of 75 and 68.
Junior
Maximilian Morgenstern and sophomore
Micke Laurelli are in a share of 37th as they both registered a 144 (+2). Morgenstern recorded a 75 in the first followed by a 69 in the following round. Laurelli notched a 71 followed by a 73.
Junior
Nicklas Illi is tied for 62nd with a 148 (+6). Senior
Ryan Letterly is tied for 32nd as well and is competing as an individual. Letterly carded a 143 (+1) on day one with a 67 and a 76.
The Lions will conclude the Shark Invitational tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24 with the final round that will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
