CLINTON, S.C. – The 11th-ranked Saint Leo University acrobatics and tumbling team completed the season sweep Presbyterian with a 249.450-238.770 victory in Clinton South Carolina. The Lions extended their win streak to five and improve to 5-1 overall while PC is still searching for its first win of the season at 0-7.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Saint Leo set the tone early in Compulsory, posting a 35.75 to take a lead over Presbyterian's 34.20. The Lions were sharp in Pyramid with a 9.75 and added a 9.10 in Acro, while a 7.75 in Tumbling helped build an early cushion through the opening four heats.
• The Lions extended their advantage in the Acro event, totaling 27.95 compared to Presbyterian's 28.15. Saint Leo was strong in the Five Element heat with a 9.65 and added a 9.40 in the Seven Element heat to remain in control midway through the meet.
• Pyramid continued to be a steady event for both teams, with Saint Leo posting a 29.10 behind consistent scores of 9.60, 9.70, and 9.80 across the three heats. The Lions maintained their narrow edge heading into the final two events.
• In Toss, Saint Leo recorded a 26.00, highlighted by an 8.80 in the Open heat and matching Presbyterian in the 450 Salto heat with an 8.75. The Lions held onto their overall lead as the meet entered Tumbling.
• Saint Leo created separation in Tumbling, delivering a 50.300 compared to Presbyterian's 47.300. The Lions posted strong marks in the Aerial Pass (9.300), Six Element Pass (9.175), and Open Pass (9.375), using the event to widen the gap heading into the Team Event.
• In the Team Event, Saint Leo closed out the meet with an 80.35, securing a 249.450 to 238.770 victory on the road at Presbyterian.
