SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Saint Leo University women's tennis team took on Slippery Rock at home on Wednesday afternoon. The Lions earned a pair of singles victories but ultimately fell 5-2. The Green & Gold drop to 5-6 overall while The Rock remain undefeated at 4-0.

The match opened with both teams earning a 6-3 win at number one and two doubles.
Candice Bernier and
Madelyn Martin teamed up for the first time this spring to earn the 6-3 decision. The Rock claimed the final doubles court to take the early 1-0 advantage.

Singles play opened with a two-set victory by #42
Deren Ozel at number one singles, 6-2, 6-2. Following a Slippery Rock win at number two singles, Camilla Keller tied the match at 2-2 as she won 6-1 and 6-3. The visitors claimed the final three courts to clinch a 5-2 win.
