LONGWOOD, Fla. – After the first day of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, hosted by Rollins, at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes, the 22nd-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team stands tied for fifth after posting a team score of 300 (+12) in the first round on Monday.
The Lions are led by freshman
McKenzee Sullivan and junior
Iza Stahlevi, who are in a share of seventh place with a 73 (+1) each.
Redshirt senior
Maya Cote is tied for 14th with a 75 (+3). Rounding out the Saint Leo lineup is freshman
Maria Jaime, who is tied for 37th, and senior Ana Valentia-Guarderas, who is in 52nd.
The Green & Gold had several golfers compete as individuals such as junior
Carmen Phousirith as she posted an 80 (+8) and stands tied for 40th. Freshman
Catherine Mulvaney carded an 82 (+10) and is in 46th. Sophomore
Sophia Raab is in a share of 48th after shooting an 83 on Monday.
The Lions will conclude the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational tomorrow, Tuesday March 17 with one 18-hole round that is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
