LAKELAND, Fla. - The 19th-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team currently sits in 12th-place after the opening day of the Lady Moc Classic, hosted by Florida Southern at Grasslands Golf & Country Club on Monday afternoon.
Leading the Lions' lineup is freshman Maria Jaime, who posted a 77 in both rounds on Monday, is in a share of 22nd. Fellow freshman, McKenzee Sullivan, registered a 156 (+12)as she is tied for 34th entering Tuesday's final round. Her first round featured a pair of birdies on the front nine.
Redshirt senior Maya Cote enters Tuesday with a 160 (+16) coming off the heels of an impressive three-over (75) in the second round after firing an 86 in the first as she is tied for 50th . Sophomore Iza Stahlevi is in a share of 69th with a 164 (+20). Rounding out the lineup is senior Ana Valentina-Guarderas is tied for 85th with a 168 (+24).
Junior Carmen Phousirith and sophomore Sophia Raab competed as individuals. Raab is in a share of 69th with a 164 (+20) while Phousirith is in a share of 77th with a 165 (+25).
Saint Leo will conclude the Lady Moc Classic, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24 with a shotgun start of the third round at 9 a.m.
