SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 11th-ranked Saint Leo University acrobatics and tumbling team put on a dominant performance on Sunday at the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The Lions defeated Presbyterian College by nearly 20 points, 261.700-243.950. Saint Leo has now won five straight meetings between the two teams dating back to the end of the 2022 season. The Lions now sit with a 2-1 overall record in 2026 while the Blue Hose are still searching for their first win, 0-3.
Saint Leo opened the meet strong in Compulsory, scoring 37.65 to take an early lead over Presbyterian's 35.25. The Lions set the tone in the Pyramid and Toss heats, recording matching 9.80s, while adding an 8.70 in Tumbling to build momentum through the first four heats.
In the Acro event, Saint Leo continued to execute at a high level, posting a 28.95 to Presbyterian's 27.75. The Lions earned a 9.95 in the Five Element heat and followed with a 9.55 in the Six Element heat. Both teams matched at 9.45 in the Seven Element heat, keeping the competition tight but allowing Saint Leo to maintain its edge.
Pyramid proved to be one of the cleanest events of the afternoon. Saint Leo totaled 29.45, highlighted by a 9.80 in the Synchronized heat and a 9.90 in the Open heat. The consistent execution across all three heats helped the Lions preserve their advantage heading into the second half.
Toss remained competitive, with Saint Leo finishing with a 26.30. The Lions' top score came in the Open heat with a 9.00, narrowly trailing Presbyterian in the event but keeping the overall meet margin intact.
Saint Leo created separation in Tumbling, delivering a 53.700 compared to Presbyterian's 48.000. The Lions were sharp in the Aerial Pass and Open Pass, scoring matching 9.775s, and added a 9.350 in the Six Element Pass. Strong execution across all six tumbling passes allowed Saint Leo to widen the gap entering the Team Event.
In the final Team Event, Saint Leo closed the door with an 85.65, securing a 261.700 to 243.950 victory in front of 872 fans at the Marion Bowman Activities Center.

Saint Leo's three meet home stand continues with Lander (March 6), and West Liberty (March 13) for senior night. The regular season will close out with stops in South Carolina to take on Presbyterian (March 19) and Converse (March 21).
