SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 11th-ranked Saint Leo University acrobatics and tumbling team earned its first win of the 2026 season on Thursday at Montevallo. Highlighting the victory was a perfect 10 on the Inversion Pyramid. Saint Leo improves to 1-1 in the first two meets with a 259.840-244.566. 

Saint Leo opened the meet strong in the compulsory event, edging Montevallo 36.35–35.90 to immediately take control of the scoreboard. The Lions were especially clean in the pyramid heat with a 9.75 and followed it with solid execution in toss and acro to carry an early advantage into the optional rounds.

Momentum continued in the acro event where Saint Leo posted a 27.70 behind a meet-high 9.85 in the seven-element heat. The Lions then delivered one of their best performances of the night in pyramid, scoring 29.70 and winning all three heats, including a perfect 10.00 in the inversion heat to widen the gap before halftime.

Out of the break, Saint Leo maintained separation in toss with a 26.05 and then produced its biggest scoring margin in tumbling. The Lions totaled 52.650, highlighted by a 9.575 aerial pass and a 9.400 six-element pass, building an insurmountable lead heading into the final event.

The Lions closed the meet by understanding their margin and performing a controlled team routine to secure the victory. Saint Leo finished with a 259.840–244.565 win, capturing every event on the way to its first home triumph of the season.

Saint Leo returns home for three straight home meets hosting Presbyterian (Feb. 22), Lander (March 6), and a senior night meet against West Liberty (March 13). The regular season will close out with stop in South Carolina to take on Presbyterian (March 19) and Converse (March 21).
