Saint Leo University to Host First Lions Bash

The event sponsored by AdventHealth Dade City will take place on Saint Leo's campus on February 28, 2026

ST. LEO, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2026) – Saint Leo University Athletics will host its first-ever Lions Bash, sponsored by AdventHealth Dade City, on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The high-energy, family-friendly game day tailgate will celebrate Saint Leo basketball and a full slate of home athletic events.

"The Lions Bash is all about Saint Leo spirit," said Marcal Lazenby, Saint Leo's vice president of athletics and wellness. "This event combines athletics, entertainment, and community into one unforgettable experience you won't want to miss. One Pride, All In!"

Open to the local community and free to attend, the tailgate will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Marion Bowman Activities Center parking lot. The Lions Bash will feature free food, music, giveaways and prizes, inflatables, and carnival-style games. Saint Leo University also is proud to welcome prospective students, athletic recruits, and their families to this fun-filled event.

Following the tailgate, Saint Leo basketball will host a pair of senior day matchups against Embry-Riddle (Fla.):
  • 2–4 p.m. – Saint Leo University women's basketball vs. Embry-Riddle (Fla.)
  • 4:30–6:30 p.m. – Saint Leo University men's basketball vs. Embry-Riddle (Fla.)
Lions fans also can catch additional home contests in tennis, men's lacrosse, and baseball throughout the day, with a complete game-day schedule available at saintleolions.com. Admission is free for the tailgate event and all February 28 games, with VIP Deck access available for purchase onsite.

Parking is available in the garage located under the University Turf Stadium.
