CORINTH, Texas – The #18 Saint Leo University women's golf team tied for eighth place at the DBU classic after the second round was canceled due to weather. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes, with the Lions finishing at +17 as a team.
Saint Leo opened the classic with a +12 in round one, then closed strong in the final round with a +5, moving up the leader board against a course stacked with nationally ranked programs.
Maria Jamie paced the Lions with a two-round total of +2 (75 final round) finishing in a tie for 21
st place.
Iza Stahlevi followed with a steady performance at +4 (73 final round), placing a tie for 31st.
Maya Cote delivered a final round 73, closing the event at +6 and finishing in a tie for 41st.
Mckenzee Sullivan posted a final-round 72, ending the Classic at +7 in a tie for 47th.
Ana Valentina Guarderas rounded out the lineup at +9 (76 final round), finishing in a tie for 60th overall.
The DBU Classic once again proved to be one of the premier early-season events in NCAA Division II women's golf. With their eighth-place tie, the Lions showcased the depth of their roster and reaffirmed their top 20 national ranking.
Saint Leo will return to competition at the 12th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial on October 13, 2025, as the Lions continue their fall campaign.
