HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's golf team currently stands tied for ninth in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional, hosted by Rollins at Mission Inn Resort. The Lions opened the three-day three-round tournament with a 293 (five-over) on the first day.
Junior
Enzo Barbaglia leads the Green and Gold lineup as he sits in a share of 18th after firing a 71 (-1) on Thursday as he was followed by graduate student
Brendan Porter, who notched a 73 (+1). Graduate student
Francois Cilliers carded a 74 (+2) in the opening round.
Rounding out the Saint Leo lineup was sophomore
Nicklas Illi, who registered a 75 (+3) and junior
Ryan Letterly, who recorded a score of 76 (+4).
Florida Southern currently paces the 20-team field with a 280 (-8) while also boasting the present 109-golfer field leader in Max Barlie, who scored a 67 (-5).
The Lions will compete in the second day of the NCAA South/Southeast Regionals, tomorrow, May 9 as tee times start at 10:50 a.m. for the Green and Gold.
