SAINT LEO, Fla. – #30 Saint Leo University women's tennis team dropped its Saturday afternoon match against top-ranked NAIA Keiser, 4-2. The Lions earned wins from
Claudia Borbon Roca and
Camila Keller in the loss. The Lions fall to 11-7 overall as #1 Keiser is now 16-2 on the season.
The visitors took the early 1-0 lead sweeping all of the doubles pairs.
Saint Leo opened singles play with a win by retirement at number three singles as
Camila Keller won the first set 6-2 before earning the victory via retirement while leading the second set 2-0. The win by Keller tied the match at 1-1. Keiser earned wins at number four and two to lead 3-1. Borbon Roca dropped the opening set 5-7 before earning 6-4 wins in both the second and third set to put that match at 3-2. Keiser clinched the match victory with a straight set win at number five singles.
