GULF SHORES, Ala. – The seven-seed Saint Leo University beach volleyball team saw its season end in the silver bracket on the final day of the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Small College Beach Volleyball Championships in Gulf Shores. The Lions dropped a 3-1 contest to the eight-seed Florida Southern Moccasins in what proved to be the only match of the day. Saint Leo finishes the 2025 season with an overall record of 16-13.
Saint Leo earned its lone win over Florida Southern by its five pair of
Emma Laade and
Reagan Hopp. Two of the four completed courts went to a third set as the Mocs rallied from first set losses. Laade and Hopp earned wins of 21-14 and 21-12 to earn the victory. The number one pair of
Jeanette Henderson and
Emma Miller won the first set 21-13 before falling in the second and third set, 21-17 and 15-10. The Lions four pair of
Kayla David and
Erin Johnson earned a 21-10 first set victory before the Mocs took the second and third sets, 23-21 and 15-11.
