MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The 10th-ranked Saint Leo acrobatics and tumbling team capped off the 2025 regular season with a tri-meet victory versus Montevallo and Talladega on Thursday night in Montevallo, Alabama.
The Falcons claimed an early lead following the compulsory with a score of 35.850 while the Lions trailed with a total of 32.050. The Tornadoes tallied a 21.400 in the opening event.
The Green and Gold trimmed its deficit as it amassed a 28.200 in the acro event while Montevallo recorded a 26.450 and Talladega notched an 18.400. Heading into the pyramid event, the Falcons held a slight 62.300 to 60.250 lead over Saint Leo.
The Lions won the pyramid category as they registered a 29.300 with the Falcons earning a 28.500 and the Tornadoes posting a 21.600. At intermission, Montevallo led the field with a total score of 90.800. Saint Leo held a score of 89.550 while Talladega earned a 61.400 at halftime.
In the toss event, Montevallo built onto its lead with a tally of 26.250. The Lions registered a 26.150 while the Tornadoes posted a 19.900. However, in the tumbling event, Saint Leo grasped a lead with a score of 51.275 while the Falcons and Tornadoes recorded a 47.400 and 43.350, respectively.
Heading into the team event, the Lions lead the field with a total score of 166.975. The Falcons held a score of 164.450 and the Tornadoes posted an 81.300.
Saint Leo sealed the victory in the team event with an 82.190 while Montevallo posted an 80.500 and Talladega recorded a 52.330.
At the end of the night, the Lions won by a score of 249.165 to 244.950 and 176.980.
