ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Saint Leo University beach volleyball swept its competition on Wednesday earning wins over Eckerd and Florida Southern in a dual meet at Eckerd College on Wednesday. With the wins, the Lions improve to 3-5 on the season.
 
Saint Leo earned four wins over the Tritons in a 4-1 win to open the day on Wednesday. Three pairs of Lions earned come from behind three-set victories as the Tritons quickly fell behind four games to none. The most impressive come from behind win was on Court 4 where Madison Moore and Paula Perez Rosales rallied from losing the first set by 10, to win the next two sets to secure the match point for Saint Leo.
 
The Lions won a pair of three-set games and won another game in straight-sets as they rallied to defeat the Mocs 3-2. Jeanette Henderson and Erin Johnson handily defeat their counterparts from Florida Southern to earn the first point for Saint Leo in the second match. Emma Laade and Reagan Hopp won the first set of their match before narrowly losing the second set. They then quickly regrouped and handily won the third set, securing the match point for the Lions.
