JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Saint Leo University beach volleyball closed out play at the DUUUVAL Duals on Saturday afternoon. The Lions dropped both matches to its Division I opponents, Chattanooga (3-2), and Mercer (4-1). Saint Leo falls to 1-5 on the season.

Saint Leo got a pair of wins over the Mocs in a 3-2 loss to open the day on Saturday. Emma Laade and Reagan Hopp earned a three-set win as the number five pair to tie the match at 1-1. After the Mocs clinched the match, Jeanette Henderson and Emma Miller won 21-18, and 21-14 to close out the match. Chattanooga won 3-2.  

The Lions dropped its second match of the day, 4-1 to Mercer. The Lions managed a win from the number two pair of Kayla David and Oliwia Durka as the duo held off their Bears opponents earning wins of 21-19 and 21-17.
