JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Saint Leo University beach volleyball opened play at the DUUUVAL Duals on Friday. The Lions opened the day against Jacksonville University with a 4-1 loss before taking on the host of the two-day event, #19 University of North Florida for a 5-0 loss. The Lions fall to 1-3 on the season.

Saint Leo's lone point on the day came at the number three pair of Oliwia Durka and Kayla David who rallied from a 16-21 first set loss to win 21-12 and 16-13 over Jacksonville. The Dolphins claimed all four points in two sets.

The Lions dropped its second match of the day, 5-0 to North Florida. The Ospreys earned four of five points in two sets. Saint Leo's duo of Durka and David earned a first set win as the number two pair before dropping the second and third set, 14-21 and 7-15.
