SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University beach volleyball team spent an afternoon giving back to the local community by volunteering at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, taking time away from the sand to support the organization's mission of caring for animals in need.
Members of the beach volleyball program assisted the shelter staff throughout the day and gained firsthand experience in the important work being done to provide care, comfort, and resources for animals awaiting adoption.
The team expressed gratitude for the opportunity and for the Humane Society's dedicated staff, calling the experience both meaningful and rewarding. The visit reflected Saint Leo Athletics' ongoing commitment to service, community engagement, and living out the University's core values beyond competition.
Saint Leo beach volleyball continues to seek opportunities to make a positive impact off the court while representing the University throughout the Tampa Bay community.
