NINETY SIX, S.C. – The 23rd-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team placed third in the Patriot Fall Classic, hosted by Lander, on Tuesday afternoon at the Patriot Golf Course in Grand Harbor.
Saint Leo had a pair of golfers place tied for seventh with senior
Enzo Barbaglia and junior
Micke Laurelli registering score of 211 (-5). Barbaglia notched a 72 in the first round, 70 in the second, and a 69 in the third. His third round featured three birdies on the front nine. Laurelli posted scores of 70 in the first, followed by a 69 and then a 72.
Freshman
Benjamin Morland finished in 19th with a 215 (-1). Morland fired a 71 and 68 on the first day before recording a 76 in today's round. Junior
Nicklas Illi placed 27th with a 217 (+1) as she shot under-par on Tuesday with a 71 (-1).
Rounding out the lineup was sophomore
Ethan Keys with a 226 (+10) for 64th. Competing as an individual was senior
Mathieu Lafontaine, who placed 43rd with a 221 (+5). Lafontaine tallied a 69 (-3) in his final round that featured five birdies.
