LAKELAND, Fla. - Saint Leo University men's and women's cross country ventured to Holloway Park for the Ed Holloway XC Classic, rounding out the regular season.
The men started the day with the 8k race, with freshman Paul Rivera leading the way in 29:04. Freshman Santiago Rodriguez was the next lion to cross the line in 29:53, followed right behind by freshman Angelo Acosta in 29:55. Rounding out the scoring for the harriers was Jason Bracero Jr and Jevin Luna in 30:25 and 30:26 respectively.
The women's 6k race saw senior Rachel Jarrett lead the way once again crossing the line in 26:27. Freshman Delaney Glynn was the next lion to finish in 26:37, followed by fellow freshman Alexis Morgan in 27:26. Junior Dakotah Medows and freshman Maria Tejada 27:35 and 27:41.
The men's team took sixth and the women placed seventh. This concludes the regular season and the lions now look ahead to the SSC Championship next Sat. at Holloway Park.
