DAHLONEGA, Fla. – The 18th-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team moved up three spots in the final day of the 12th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament as it placed fifth in a field of 16 teams with a score of 874 (10-over).
At the Achasta Golf Course, the Lions were led by freshman
McKenzee Sullivan, who shot a 71 (one-under) in Tuesday's round to finish in a share of fifth place. Her third round featured five birdies as she registered three consecutive birdies on hole 13, 14, and 15.
Sophomore
Iza Stahlevi conquered the course on the second day as she shot an impressive 68 (four-under) to move up 22 spots and placed tied for 17th with a 217 (1-over). Freshman
Maria Jaime completed the tournament in a share of 30th with a 221 (five-over).
Senior
Ana Valentina-Guarderas posted an even score of 72 on Tuesday and finished in 51st with a 228 (+12) as she moved up 10 spots from her Monday standing. Rounding out the lineup was redshirt senior
Maya Cote as she carded a 79 today to bring her two-day total to 241 (25-over).
Competing as an individual was junior
Carmen Phousirith, who placed tied for 46th with a 225 (nine-over) after firing a 76 in today's round.
Wingate won the team trophy with a score of 849 (15-under) while Anderson (S.C.) boasted the individual winner as Olivia Pellerin won the crown with a 206 (10-under)
The Lions return to action next week on Monday, October 20 as it hosts the Saint Leo Invitational at Lake Jovita with a start time at 8 a.m.
