DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The 18th-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team is currently sitting in eighth place after the opening day of the 12th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament, hosted by North Georgia, at the Achasta Country Club.
Leading the Lions lineup is freshman
McKenzee Sullivan, who is tied for fifth with a score of 140 (four-under) after registering scores of 70 in each of the first two rounds. In the first round, she recorded six birdies while tallying an eagle along with a trio of birdies in the second round.
Freshman
Maria Jaime sits in a share of 22nd following a pair of 73s on Monday. The Paraguay native boasted seven total birdies during the first two rounds. Sophomore
Iza Stahlevi is tied for 39th with a score of 149 (five-over) as she carded a 73 in the opening round and a 76 in the second round. Senior
Ana Valentina-Guarderas is in a share of 61st with scores of 81 and 75.
Rounding out the lineup is senior
Maya Cote with 162 (18-over). Junior
Carmen Phousirith competed as an individual and is tied for 39th. Phousirith fired a 75 in the first round followed by a 74 in the second.
The Lions will conclude the LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament tomorrow, starting at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
