SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University women's soccer team opens the 2024 season on Thursday at home with a non-conference match up against the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlatnic University. The Lions and the Sailfish will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Saint Leo Soccer Field.
The Lions kick off the season with a trio of home matches beginning with a pair of non-conference matches against two conference opponents, Palm Beach Atlantic (Sept. 5) and Eckerd (Sept. 10) before hosting Alabama-Huntsville (Sept. 13).

Caitlin Strong entering her second season on the sideline for the Lions and a pair of first-year graduate assistants, Kirstie Jackson and Joseph Linley. Linley is also serving as the head coach of the Saint Leo women's soccer reserves team, competing in its first season.
Ainsley Meyer,
Franziska Theus, and Mina Häggström will serve as the team captians for the 2024 season.
Saint Leo returns three of its top four scorers, including the leading scorer
Katja May with 10 points on a team-best four goals and two assists.
Ainsley Meyer was second on the team with six points on three goals.
In the goal, the Lions return both keepers from 2023,
Hannah Goetzer and Amit Bellin who split time in goal.
