GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The 13th-ranked Saint Leo University men's golf team sits in fifth place after the first two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional championship. The Lions shot a +5 and are just two strokes behind fourth-place Nova Southeastern.
The Lions shot a +4 in the opening round to sit in a three-way tie for seventh place. After adding a stroke to its team total the Lions improved two spots in the standings to sit in sole possession of the final spot for a chance to advance to the NCAA Championship.
Saint Leo was led by
Jake Nash and
Enzo Barbaglia who both traded 74 and 71 scores to sit in a tie for 17th place.
Brendan Porter shot par in the second round and is currently in a tie for 28th place.
One stroke separates
Adrian Soriano (T-65th) and
Alex Heck (T-79th) to round out the Lions lineup.
