SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University beach volleyball sent out its seven seniors in style as it wrapped up the regular season with a pair of 5-0 victories of Lake Sumter State College on Saturday. The Lions earned all ten victories in straight sets. Saint Leo ends the regular season with a 13-5 overall record including a perfect 10-0 record at home.

Prior to the second match of the day, the Green and Gold honored its senior class of Clare Flanagan, Ignacia Cortinez, Amanda Doherty, Jeanette Henderson, Kayla David, Aliya Fredette-Huffman, and LeeAnn Potter.

Clare Flanagan and Erin Johnson's exhibition match opened the day as the duo easily defeated their opponents, 21-4 and 21-6. As the number two pair, Jeanette Henderson and Aliya Fredette Huffman put the Lions up 1-0 with a pair of 21-13 wins. LeeAnn Potter and Brenna Reinhard won 21-11 and 21-12 to give Saint Leo a 2-0 advantage. The number one pair of Kayla David and Julia Panko sealed the match victory winning 21-7 and 21-12. Amanda Doherty and Emma Laade posted 21-13 and 21-10 wins to grow the Green and Gold's lead to 4-0. The 5-0 sweep was completed as Ignacia Cortinez and Emma Miller won 21-7 and 21-11.  

In the second match of the day, Flanagan and Johnson once again shut down their opponents posting 21-8 and 21-5 wins in their exhibition match. Potter and Reinhard opened the second match with 21-14 and 21-9 victories to give the home team a 1-0 lead. David and Panko put the Lions up 2-0 with 21-12 and 21-17 wins. Doherty and Laade clinched the match for the home team with 21-11 first set win and a 21-10 victory in the second set. Saint Leo put the final touches on the sweep with wins by Cortinez/Miller (21-12, 21-13) and Henderson/Fredette-Huffman (21-14, 21-19).
