BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 13th-ranked Saint Leo University men's golf team shot a round best –10 on the second day of the 2024 Sunshine State Conference Championships to sit in a three-way tie for first place with one round to play. The three-day, three-round tournament is being held at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida and hosted by Lynn University.

Saint Leo shot a -10 in the second round to move up five spots on the leaderboard and sits in a three-way tie for first place with Nova Southeastern and Lynn. Of the three teams currently in first, Saint Leo made the biggest jump from the previous round's finish moving up five spots while Nova Southeastern moved up four spots and Lynn jumped up two spots.

Brendan Porter continues to pace the Lions lineup as he shot a -1 in the second round and sits in a tie for sixth place. Alex Heck and Adrian Soriano both carded sub-70 scores in the second round to help lead the Lions to a 14 under round. Jake Nash turned in a -2 second round that included a trio of birdies including a pair of birdies on the back-nine. Enzo Barbaglia rounds out the Saint Leo lineup in a tie for 32nd as he posted a +2.

The Lions will be paired with Nova Southeastern Sharks. The first pairing for Saint Leo is scheduled to tee off at 10:40 a.m. from the first hole.
