Beach Volleyball Takes Fourth Place at 2024 AVCA Small College Beach Championships

TAVARAS, Fla. - The Saint Leo University beach volleyball team finished fourth at the 2024 AVCA Small College Beach Championships. The Lions dropped both matches on the day to Concordia Irvine, 3-1 in the semifinal round and 3-2 to Colorado Mesa in the third-place match. On the season, Saint Leo finishes with a 16-8 overall record.

Aliya Fredette-Huffman and Jeanette Henderson picked up Saint Leo's lone win against Concordia Irvine in a 3-1 loss. Kayla David and Julia Panko got off to a strong start with a 21-13 win in the second set but fell in the second and forced extra points in the final set as they dropped the third set 17-15.

The third-place match came down to the final court as all five courts were decided in straight sets. Saint Leo earned wins from its second and third pairings.
