SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University beach volleyball team is set to open postseason play at the 2024 AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships presented by the United States Marine Corps and the Florida Region of USA Volleyball in Tavaras, Florida on Friday, April 12. The Lions find themselves as the number four seed and have been placed in Pool 4 with eight-seed Texas A&M – Kingsville, 12-seed Erskine, and 16-seed Wayne State. 2024 marks the sixth time the Lions will participate in the AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships.

Saint Leo finished the regular season with a 13-5 overall record including a perfect 10-0 record at home. The Lions will take a two-match win-streak into postseason play.
First up for the Green and Gold is a 9:05 a.m. match against Erskine College. The Lions and the Fleet will meet up on Courts D1-5 to begin Pool 4 play. Saint Leo will then take on Wayne State at 1:25 p.m. on Courts B1-5 to wrap up its Friday matches. Saint Leo's only predetermined match on Saturday is an 11:15 a.m. match up against Texas A&M – Kingsville on Courts D1-5.
Following the Challenge Round matches on Saturday afternoon, the winners of the rounds will advance to the Gold Bracket on Championship Sunday. Teams that lost in the Challenge Rounds will compete in the Silver Bracket and all remaining teams in the final Challenge Round matches will take part in the Bronze and Copper bracket play. The Division II Champion will be the winner of the Gold bracket.
Saint Leo is the reigning champion of the silver bracket after defeating Texas A&M – Kingsville (3-1) and Spring Hill (3-2) in 2023.
All matches are match play, best two out of three sets. Sets one and two are played to 21 with no cap and set three, if needed, is played to 15 with no cap. The first team to win three matches will win the match.
