EATONTON, Ga. – After the final day of the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College and State University at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee, the ninth-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team placed eighth in the 15-team field as it recorded a score of 869 (29-over).
The Lions were led by graduate student
Jake Nash, who carded a 210 for the event which included an impressive 67 (three-under) in the third round. With his scoring output, Nash placed tied for third in the tournament. Senior
Alex Heck finished tied for 25th after tallying a 218 (eight-over) over the two-day event and a 73 (three-over) in the final round. Senior
Adrian Soriano placed tied for 37th with scores of 71, 74, and 76 for an overall mark of 221 (11-over).
Rounding out the Saint Leo scorers were sophomore
Enzo Barbaglia and graduate student
Brendan Porter. Barbaglia completed the tournament with a 224 (14-over) as he finished tied for 53rd while Porter placed tied for 59th by carding a 225 (15-over).
The Lions return to action on Monday, April 1 as they compete in the opening day of the Battle at the Shores, hosted by Barry at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach.
