EATONTON, Ga. – After the opening day of the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College and State University at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee, the ninth-ranked Saint Leo men's golf team currently sits in seventh place as it carded a 579 (19-over) in the first two rounds of the 15-team tournament.
Graduate student
Jake Nash leads the Lions after tallying a 143 (three-over) as he sits tied for 11th place. Nash compiled a total of seven birdies on the first day, four of which came in the second round. Seniors
Alex Heck and
Adrian Soriano both fired a 145 on the first day while Heck recorded a 75 in the opening round followed by a 70 in the second round before Soriano posted a 71 and a 74 as they are both tied for 21st.
Rounding out the Lions scorers are graduate student
Brendan Porter and sophomore
Enzo Barbaglia. Porter collected a score of 149 (nine-over) after registering a 75 in the first round followed by a 74 in the second as he sits tied for 47th. After the opening day, Barbaglia posted a score of 150 (10-over) with a 72 and 78 while he sits tied for 55th.
Saint Leo concludes the Bobcat Invitational tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19 as it competes in the third and final round, starting at 8:30 a.m.
