SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University beach volleyball team extended its win streak to three matches on Tuesday with a pair of 5-0 victories over Stevenson University and first-year program Barry University. The Lions improved to 7-3 in 2024.

The day began with a 5-0 victory over Stevenson in the first match of the day. Two of five matches needed a third set as the Lions rallied from first set losses at number one and five. Saint Leo's number one pair of Aliya Fredette-Huffman and Jeanette Henderson rallied from a six-point loss in the first set to limit its opponent to just 11 points in the second and third set to earn the win. Erin Johnson and LeeAnn Potter narrowly lost the opening set 21-19 and then held their opponents a combined 15 points in the final two sets including a 15-3 final in the tiebreaker set.
 
Saint Leo made easy work of Barry in the final match of the day with the Lions earning five victories in straight sets on all five courts. Brenna Reinhard and Potter held their opponents to single digits in both sets posting 21-8 and 21-9 finals. Ignacia Cortinez and Julia Panko were paired up at the Lions number two and defeated their opponents 12-8 and 21-17 for the victory.
