LAKELAND, Fla. – The 12th-ranked Saint Leo University men's golf team closed out the first tournament of the 2024 spring championship season with a fifth-place finish at the Matlock Collegiate Classic hosted by Florida Southern College at Lone Palm Golf Course in Lakeland on Tuesday. Two Lions finished in the top 10.
Final Results
Individually two Lions closed out the tournament in the top 10.
Jake Nash (216, E) shot a 77 in the final round and finished just three strokes off the lead in a tie for fourth place.
Adrian Soriano (217, +1) shot a 76 in the final round to finish four strokes off the lead. Both Nash and Soriano finished ahead of all players from Florida Southern, who finished in first place with a five-stroke lead.
Brendan Porter (227, +11) finished in a tie for 34th place.
Alex Heck (230, +14) and
Enzo Barbaglia (234, +18) round out the Lions lineup.
