LAKELAND, Fla. – The Saint Leo University men's and women's cross country teams closed out its seasons at the 2024 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Friday morning. The two championship races took place at Lakeland's Holloway Park.

Rachel Jarrett led the women's team with a 34th place finish after posting a 24:12.5 time. Manuela Coca (33:54.4), Emily Edwards (36:53.2), and Ryann Dunn (38:58.9) rounded out the pack of 92 SSC runners.

Nova Southeastern won the women's championship title as five runners earned a top-15 finish including three in the top five. NSU's Jillian Thorning won the individual crown with a time of 21:45.2 as she crossed the finish line to earn the first-place finish by 13 seconds.

Sawyer Raveling was the top finisher for the men's team that finished in eighth place. Raveling crossed the finish line with a time of 28:27.6. Matthew Coronel (34:02.2), Kyle Desmond (35:02.3), Sebastian Pomales (37:08.0), and Isaiah Ramcharitar (40:39.4) rounded out the pack of 109 SSC runners in the eight-team field.

Florida Southern took the men's championship title as five Mocs earned top-11 finishes including three in the top five. FSC's Christian Giller, who was named the SSC Runner of the Year on Thursday, won the individual title by a time of 24:44.1 besting his teammate by 18.8 to earn the first-place finish.
