JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team kicked off the Osprey Invitational Friday afternoon. The Lions fell in the tournament opener to #13 Florida International University, 1-4 and fell 1-4 to Mercer University.
Saint Leo opened the morning against #13 Florida International University. The Lions fell to the Panthers, four sets to one. The pairing of
Emma Miller and
Ignacia Cortinez earned the only victory of the first match, defeating Milica Vukobrat and Lucie Pokorna, 21-19, 11-21, and 15-11.
 The Green & Gold closed out their last match of the afternoon falling to Mercer University, 1-4.
Saint Leo will close out the Osprey Invitational on April 8
th. The Lions will wrap up the invitational against University of North Carolina Wilmington at 12:00 p.m. and University of North Florida at 4:00 p.m.
