TAMPA, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team closed out the of the University of Tampa Tournament. The Lions defeated Erskine in the first match 5-0 and and falling to Tampa, 2-3.
Saint Leo opened up the morning sweeping Eskrine, 5-0 to kick off the final day of the University of Tampa Tournament. Saint Leo would take four of their five matches in straight sets. The pairing of
Kayla David and
Julia Panko had an impressive outing on the courts winning by their largest margin, 21-13 and 21-8. Â Jeannette Henderson and
Aliya Fredette-Huffman battled during the second match of the morning, trading points with the pairing of Kylie McKean and Karina Petrovich. The match would go three sets and would last until the 23
rd point as Henderson and Fredette-Huffman took the third set 23-21.
 The Green & Gold closed out their last match of the Tampa Tournament falling to Palm Beach Atlantic, 0-5.
Saint Leo will travel to Jacksonville, Florida to compete in the Osprey Invitational on April, 7
th. The Lions will open up the invitational against Florida International University at 10:00 a.m. and Mercer University at 2:00 p.m.
