BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team closed out the FAU Beach Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Lions split their two games during the final day of the Boca Raton tournament.

In the first match the Lions faced a tough challenge in Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The Lions lost in 3-2 to the Islanders. The pairings of Aliya Fredette-Huffman/ Jeanette Henderson and Kayla David/ Julia Panko won the first two matches for the Green & Gold before the Islanders were able to come back and steal the match.

Saint Leo bounced back in the second match of the afternoon, splitting the final day of the tournament defeating Palm Beach Atlantic, 4-1. Fredette-Huffman/ Henderson, David/ Panko, Emma Miller/ LeeAnn Potter, and Erin Johnson/ Daria Kowalik all were victorious against the Sailfish.
